is it possible to have the cfg online at admin for editing instead of having to upload it everytime when u made changes?

LinksSQL has that ... I wonder, or rather doubt if this will ever come soon to regualr links.

it's a shame since thei type of functionality is pretty nice. But, I'm sure there's all kinds of security involved. ummm ... before I go further what kinds of things do you really change so often ???

if you're interested in trying this out log for the edit_log mod. I used this a different way (exchange rates -- fluctations and such makes daily uploads a real pain) I wonder if this could be used as a minor start point. Then again what really needs to be changed so often?

I'm rambling but check out the admin_mod thread that's going on right now, maybe some of the things you're looking for are already in there ???/

Good Luck

kennethx,

Simple get an FTP-capable text editor...:)

eg; - UltraEdit 32 - open the file from FTP - edit - and when you hit save it is saved to the server.:)

Hi DDAve,

nice suggestion but I believe the idea was to do this through an HTTP method rather than FTP.

for windows I think that cuteFTp does something similar too.

mac folks, BBEdit and others

good luck

Hi Paul,
I see just saw you are making this. Unfortunally this was a project that was one of my first and one that I thought I could do, but since you are making this there is no point for me to start. Now I have to find something else to do.
Thanks,
Paul
