check http://www.dslreports.com for a complete listing of test servers in the US. I'm on Adelphia Powerlink in Virginia and have for the past week horibly slow, sub 56k modem speeds... living in a college town with students starting to move in already it's to be expected. It didn't get this bad the first few weeks last year though.

ahh, yes. much better now. when I first replied my speed was 39Kb down, 4Kb up. after waiting a few minutes, I ran it again and my speed seems to be back to normal, this time clocking in at 2563Kb down, 101Kb up.

Hmm...interesting I am using DirecWay Satellite, and here are my reported speeds:
414KBPS - Download
103KBPS - Upload
The download seems slow, should be around 600+KBPS, but the upload seems high, since DirecWay advertises between 64 and 128KBPS for upload speeds.
