I have been running Links 2.0 at my web site (http://www.geeknoize.com) for about a year and a half. I download the data directory periodically for back up purposes.
Today when I downloaded the data directory, there were a bunch of numbered files in the hits directory. Up until this point there has only been an index file in there.
I haven't changed any settings so I am curious why my Links DB is suddenly creating these files and what they are for? I guess to keep track of the # of hits? But if so, why are they only appearing now?
Sorry if this question is a bit silly, but I'm not especially techy and just curious what is going on...
