It may be an Apache configuration problem. I can't think to other kind of problem.

Re: [shesgothelp] Please Help In reply to
I haven't too much ideas.
Well, /cgi-shesgothelp/ doesn't seem to be a standard cgi-bin directory, which suggests me that in the background there may be some unusual changes in Apache config.
I should see the Apache config to find if there is any unusual solution in your virtual hosting settings.

Ah, but I see that
http://www.shesgothelp.com/cgi-shesgothelp/forum/gforum.cgi?
forum is working fine in that cgi directory. OK, so /cgi-shesgothelp/ is correct and has correct permissions.

Then you should also check the /comm/ directory permissions, and have the same as /forum/ has.

Best regards,
Webmaster33

You should also check that /comm/ and /forum/ directory owners are the same.

I was asking OWNER, not permission number.
Owner is a name, like shesgothelp or nobody, or cgi, or something.
You can see it, if you type LIST in your FTP client.

Oh, well. This is what we needed:
Quote:
-rwxr-xr-x 1 nobody shesgothelp 3931 May 17 18:36 community.cgi
The 403 error is caused because of the group highlighted with red.

You should change group to shesgothelp.

Problem solved.
Next please Cool

And here it is:

Not sure if you fixed this... but take a new look at your folders. Many web-server's won't let you CHMOD a folder to 777, and still run Perl scripts from inside (due to security holes). Try setting the folders to 755, and *hopefully* it will work then :)

Please upload the attached test script into the same folder, CHMOD to 755, and try running from the browser. Does it work?
