G community for Links Sql plugins
Hello,
I am trying to use for Links SQL 2 the G community, and i am getting the follwing plugins error installation:

Unable to fetch URL 'http://mysite.com/cgi-bin/zcommunity/admin/Plugins/Links/Autt_Community.pm'. Error: 403

What am I missing?

Autt_Community.pm? Shouldn't it be Auth_Community.pm?

Afraid I'm no expert on the Community plugin.. spose I should have a play with it when I get some free time next.

What version of the Auth_Community plugin are you using? (the main one, and the LSQL one)

I don't know, I trying to use the one provided with Community 0.9 in /Private/Plugins/Links/

Is it that one, that I have to use, if not, how to get the right one??Blush

Can you download the Auth_Community.pm file in admin/Plugins (LSQL admin folder), and PM it to me? I'll have a look, and see if I can find any obvious problems.

It is still not there the file, since I can not install Auth_Community.tar using the Links SQL plugins!!!

If I remember right.... you have to take the plug-in from the Community subdirectory and copy it to the Plugin directory of Links. Then, In Links you install the plug in... then Comm should work!

Thank you Dave, it was this what I am missing. now it is working quite good. In the installation instruction was not so clear especially for people not skilled like me.
- do you suggest me to run the G Community or wait the new version? (since i noticed that you've already run it)
- do you know when it will be realized the new version?

Glad that helped.

Whether to use it or not is a very personal thing. Obviously, GT does not recommend it, as it is still beta. But if you test it, and know what it will and will not do, and you can deal with that, sure.

I would really agree with this and say proceed with caution when using Community before it comes out of beta.

I was just testing it recently and ended up deleting a ton of my links because I did not understand how community imported users database relates to the LSQL users database.

Good point! ALWAYS B/U your data, and if you decide to play with Comm, do PLAY with it... that is, do NOT just put it online and pray it works, put it online and play with it until you know it works like you want it to!
