I'm sure there is a simple answer to this question.

I noticed that some file types ask to be "Downloaded" when I try to view them. Some of these file types are *.xls, *.mdb *.pdf. Is this because of the type of file it is? Is there some where to set the type of files that can be displayed?

You'll be able to view *.doc, *.xls, *.pdf files in your web browser if Viewer/Reader's installed. You can download it at:

I'll give that a try, but I have MS Office and Adobe Acrobat already installed. I was just trying to get away from having to download the files to view them.

Example: file name is lan.xls when i click on it I get this....

You are downloading the file
fileman.pl from " the IP address"

it only does this with .xls files.

any pdf files say that they are corrupt.
