I try to password protect my admin directory but it doesn't work at all, i've to http://www.weballey.net/cgi-bin/passmake.cgi, get the texte to save in .htaccess and .htpasswd but if don't give a name before these extensions to the files my text editor doesn't save the files and if i name admin.htaccess and admin.passwd my files and upload the all things to the admin directory it doesn't work. Please, somebody can tell me what i have to do. I really don't understand at all.

Save the files with a name and extension and then upload them to your server. Rename the files to ".htaccess" and ".htpasswd" using your FTP program.
