I've rechecked links.cfg and the chmod. Anything else I should look for?

And you have the validate.db in the data directory?

And there are records in the validate.db file?

Re: Validate In reply to
Yes. /path/to/cgi-local/links/admin/data has the validate.db, which consists of the last 2 links I added--tho' not validated.
I can add, delete, modify, check for dup, build all ... just can't validate, :0

Re: Validate In reply to
There are only a limited number of reason for this error:

data directory not chmodded to 777
validate.db not chmodded to 666
Incorrect path in links.cfg
validate.db not in data directory

If you send me your ftp info via pm I will take a look.

BTW: you don't really need to hide your paths because no-one can do anything to your site by knowing your paths.

Also the link to your homepage isn't working.

OK ive had a look.....

I am assuming that this is the problem......

Error Message : unable to open validation file: /www43/web/izmirh/cgi-local/links/admin/data/validate.db. Reason: No such file or directory
Script Location : /u/web/izmirh/cgi-local/links/admin/admin.cgi

Note the paths are totally different.

Looks like you need to change /www43/ to /u/

I'm stumped...

I can't see any reason why it won't work.

Re: Validate In reply to
If this new site is stored in a server that has CGIWRAP installed, then that could be one of your problems. Double check the server configurations with your hosting company to make sure that you do or do not have CGIWRAP installed. If you do have CGIWRAP installed, then the paths would need to be changed to include the actual sub-directories under the CGIWRAP directory.

Eliot,
Good Point! I WAS on FlashNet, which had CGIWRAP, but not with IzmirHigh.com. Do I need to edit/delete something from my old configuration. Where should I look?

You don't need to change anything unless you changed something when you were on your old server.
