Help part 2 my ISP has formmail not sendmail but they say they do the same thing?. This is the path i've set in the links.cfg

# PATH of sendmail. # SMTP Server
$db_mail_path = '/local/html/t/i/timpson.co.uk/cgi-bin/FormMail.pl'; $db_smtp_server = '';

# Email address of the administrator. BE SURE TO SET!
$db_admin_email = 'russ.sanders@timpsonltd.freeserve.co.uk';

If your ISP said they are the same thing, they are complete morons and you should switch to a new host immediatly.

Sendmail is a unix utility for sending, receiveing and processing email. Formmail is a Perl script that takes the contents of a form fill out, and emails it to you (via sendmail or SMTP). It is not a mail system.

if you have telnet access:
try at command line whereis sendmail

on most system is the path
/usr/sbin/sendmail
/usr/lib/sendmail
/usr/bin/sendmail

Or you can type in which sendmail at the command prompt.

Mark is absolutely correct. I think that your tech support people at your ISP are two sandwiches short of a picnic.
