Two problems:

1) Your database is corrupted. All your database files must be set to 666 (rw-rw-rw-). And make sure that when you transfered these files to your server, make sure they are transferred in ASCII mode.

2) Also, make sure that you transferred your Template.pm file in ASCII mode and it should be set to 644 (rw-r--r--).

Ok, changed al that stuff (some of it was ok already). I now get the same error message, accept it says the problem is with line 33 in template.pm.

I can add categories, links, and do everything else, just not build all.

You can try it here : http://weedbed.virtualave.net/cgi-bin/search/admin/admin.cgi
(no password protection yet)

Thanks again,

Do you mean the following line?

Code:
'CANTINIT' => "Template: Can't init, no root defined, or
not a hash ref: '$e1'",

Because in your first posting, you posted line 6 with the problem. I have posted line 33 above.

Is this the line?

If not...what is the line? And also, what changes have you made to the Templates.pm file?

Hey elliot,

In my first post it said the problem was with line 6. Then after i made the changes you specified, it said there was and error with line 33. Doesn't really make sense, but...
I have not done a thing to template.pm.

since i have a macintosh, i can't even open that file.

This is not a problem witht the script though, because the server is unix.

Hope thats what you needed to know.

Well...I would make sure that you transferred the .pm files in ASCII mode.

That is the only other thing I can think of.

If that doesn't clear up the errors, then I don't know what to tell ya...

Best of luck!
