I accidently put the htaccess file into my main dir but i can't see it in my ftp client to delete it... how do i do this?

You ISP did not turn on show all files so all files start with a dot can't be seen by the user. What you do is that you log on your telnet, go to the directory you put the .htaccess file and then type in the command, ls -A to show all files. Then just delete the file to be deleted.
