I have (as newbie) new question.

How can to change - create the "categories" with Greek characters? Is it possible this, or then it will be destroyed the Script Links2?

Every time when I'm trying to create category with greek characters , it appears the red word "Invalid" (If I remember correct the message...).

NonEnglish mod in the Resource Center.

I'm sorry, but I dont understand. Also my english knowledge it is very bad.

1. Is it possible to write the "categories" with greek characters or not?

2. If the answer is "yes", then how and where can to modify any? In any .cgi file by txt editor? On Administration menu?

There is any different-additional file which may to download from www.gossamer-threads.com/downloads_area ?

I will tried with NonEnglish mod which I'v found in the Resource Center BUT I MAID NOTHING!!!

There were some probs, so I prefer english mod to create my "Links engine" - by changing the templates (html pages)

But, when I will tried to sign in "subscribe.cgi" - have a look please at :

at the field "Name" it is not accept "name" with greek characters.

Could you tell me - where- how could to change in subscribe.cgi -and then it is possible to write any his name in greek characters ?

Believe me, it works: I have a Japanese Links installation, and there are no problems.

Don't forget to change the metatags in your templates to your language code:

Ok. But.. because I am newbie (on cgi scripts generally) I will try to learn enough about the "Links 2 Engine" in english mod, and after .. when Iwill genie, I will try also in Greek.

But , my question about "name" ... the problem it is on the form.
On field "name"
Are you sure ? The solution which you propose, have solve about "name" field?

This codepage (1253) in the ...\templates\email.html solves the problem in the field "name" and allowed to the visitors to sign in greek?

Yes, it should work. Have you tried already?

In some html templates (4-5) until now, yes and they workink fine (except categories... I thought if it is good solution to names the categories by numbers - [we talk before about the "prob" in greek characters.] - for example 01, 02 , 03 ... and the description in greek, but finally I see ... this is not functional...)

Next 2-3 hours I will try to change next 15-18 templates (including email.html)

I have install Links 2 - with modified templates from http://www.nicky.net/links/ - IT IS WORK GOOD but after install the nonenglish files ... ... IT IS NOT WORKING the first page ...

That's because the template set you use includes the lastlink mod. You have to add the following codes to sub site_html_home in site_html_templates.pl:

lastlink => $lastlink,

Could you write the right - full txt code - in which lines may to add the code wic you suggest..

Write pleae with color text.

Could you write some txt (lines of code) and the code wich may to add between these lines?

(But I have lost the font formating on the pages)

I have in my mind to use the templates dieBlen.de | Template Pack 02 deutsch - from www.nicky.net

With this template packet including support for greek characters or must to start from the begin...

The German version already includes all NonEnglish modifications.
