I need desperatly, help!
I have tried for months to try to install the Links engine, but it just doesn't work for me, please help me!

When I go to the above url, I get:

Error including libraries: (Maybe you didn't strip carriage returns after a network transfer?)


Which means the files were not uploaded in ASCII.

How about a description of what isn't working, what error messages you are receiving, how you've set it up, what you've tried to do to resolve etc.?

I've just tried to install all the files and I've come to the admin.cgi, I've chmoded it to 755 and even to 777, but neither work.
When ever I try to goto to
www.gaz-net.com/cgi-bin/strategy/admin/admin.cgi it comes up as a download or a 404 error.
I really need your help, please reply a.s.a.p!

I think you got the same problem as i just had, you didnt upload the files with ASCII

No, I did, all of them in the CGI-BIN folder that you get when they get unzipped, I did it twice and chmoded them to 755.

I did do them in ASCII, I will try again now though, could you tell me from your experiance what permissions (chmod) I need to set for the CGI/Perl files?

all .cgi files need 755.

All required perissions are in the .txt files that come with Links.
