Ok, finally have it almost installed, need some unix god to tell me what I'm missing, this is the error that i got when running the admin.cgi

Error including libraries: Can't locate object method "an" via package "error" at /www/cu/cgi-bin/links/admin/db.pl line 832.
Compilation failed in require at ./admin.cgi line 28.


now it looks like i dinna install something, but I'm not that great with linux... soo... if someone can help, it would be greatly appreciated.

I'd try replacing db.pl - looks like a typo somewhere.

Ok. I uploaded again in ascii format, and I still get the same error. I tried running the db.pl by the command line and get this error...

./db.pl: sub: command not found
./db.pl: line 29: syntax error near unexpected token `($output,'
./db.pl: line 29: ` my ($output, $status, $counter); '


Any ideas would be appreciated!

You normally only get that type of error using OO programming with modules.

It shouldn't be occuring with Links2

You downloaded this version from Gossamer's server right?

Yea I just downloaded the program last week, and just got the system up. Fresh copy of redhat 7.1 on it, if that means anything.

Actually... looking at the price for you to install it, I might go ahead, providing you would beable to let me know what I missed.
