Hello,

I have installed Links several times and have never had the following error. Whenever I try to build the pages, I get an internal server error. To debug, i ran nph-build.cgi in telnet and got the following ;

"CGI ERROR
==========================================
Error Message : unable to open temp links database: /home/sites/webmastern
ew/cgi-bin/news/admin/data/links.db.bak. Reason: Permission denied
Script Location : ./nph-build.cgi
Perl Version : 5.00404"

Everything is chmoded as needed. Any ideas?

Double check that the /data/ directory is chmod 777

if the data directory is chmod 777 but you still have the error, make sure links.db is chmod 666. Then, for a permanent fix, see http://www.gossamer-threads.com/...um2/HTML/000656.html
