nph-build kicked my engine
after 3 months of usage ,my provider closed
the account as nph-build.cgi caused 26% cpu
usage ! is there a bug known , that can cause
over-average cpu .
i have about 1000 links , rebuilt 15 new
entries, as the server broke down on his knees. any ideas

* What Mods have you added to your nph-build.cgi?

(The Mods, the slower the build will take, the more CPU and memory you will consume)

* How many categories do you have?

(The more categories...and links for the matter, the slower the build will take, the more CPU and memory you will consume.)

* Have you tried Staggered Build?

Some solutions:

1) Find a friendly hosting company that will allow you to use CPU intensive scripts like LINKS.

2) Get a dedicated server.

3) Establish your own network and find an ISP to be your conduit (cloud) to the Internet.

Well, it seems that your hosting company has set a short time rate for CPU usage. SO, I would recommend switching hosting companies.

For information on hosting companes...search the Web.
