Show Subcategories in Subcategories
Hi,

does anybody know a way to display the subcategories in a subcategorie listing. Let me explain.
Maincategory: Internet with descrition SUB1, so we can
see all subcategories on the mainpage

Subcategorie of Internet: Test1
Subcategorie of test1: Test123

On the Mainpage I see "Internet" and under it the Subcategory Test1. If I click on Internet I see all existing subcategories of Internet, e.g. Test1.
But now I want to see the subcategorie test123 under test1.
How is this posssible ?

Thanx for your help.

Greez from Germany.

Bye, Fabian

yeah,

go to the resource center and find the mod called yahoo 2.1 it should do the trick no problem.

might need to increase the character limit for this mod in links.cfg if all your subcats don't show.

If you're using non-english mod then you're gonna have to search the archieves there's a post that has the yahoo 2.1 + non-english mod in it. for that address check the Links 2.0 customization board for a similar post like yours within the last 2 weeks it has the actually archieve's address.

good luck

Thanx,

but I'm already using yahoo-template (english) v. 2.0b5
Subcategories are working fine but not sub-subcategories.
You may have a look at www.getit4free.de/htm/links.
There is a main-categorie called "Spiele" (top, right).
There you see some of the subcategories.
Now if you open "Spiele", there are two categories "Gewinnspiele" and "PC-Spiele". Both have subcategories again, but this are not displayed. What can I do ?

Thanx for your help.

Bye, Fabian

Just make your category like this

Main Category/1stcategory/2ndcategory

This worked for me

Hi and thank you very much,

I already did it this way.
My Categories:

Spiele
Spiele/PC-Spiele
Spiele/PC-Spiele/Action

but on the "PC-Spiele" Page, the subcategory "action" is not displayed.

Do you have another idea ?

I also had to put a title or name in the description box,
so it would showup as a visible clickable item on the subcategory that I wanted as a sub to a sub.
this is an example of what I understand you want:

http://islandflyer.com/links/pages/Internet_Utilities/

I have a subcategory under the Portals subcategory.
See if this is what you want

Check which record you wish to modify and then press "Modify ":
Your search returned 2 matches.

ID: 25
Name: Internet_Utilities/Portals
Description: Portals
Related:
Meta Description:
Meta Keywords:
Header:
Footer:
SubCatStyle: (ALL)1

ID: 60
Name: Internet_Utilities/Portals/File_Sharing
Description: File_Sharing <<<This here does it
Related:
Meta Description:
Meta Keywords:
Header:
Footer:
SubCatStyle:

This is how I did that. This is a paste and copy of my categories #25, which is Portals and
a copy of my category #60 which is Portals/File_Sharing

In #60, I have a description which is clickable in the Yahoo Mod I am using. It is Yahoo 2.1 I beleive.
See if this helps some.

Hi,

great help ... thank you.
I don't have an inputfield for SubCatStyle.
In my version I have to put SUB1 or SUB2 into the description box. Maybe that's the problem ?
SUB1 and SUB2 aren't working for the 3rd level categories.
Should I change to the new yahoo template ?
Is it enough to change the cfg-Files or do I have to change the htm-Templates too ?

Thanx again.

Bye, Fabian
