This http://www.somewhere.com/cgi-bin/links/admin/admin.cgi is NOT my site, it's only example of the page I need to change the PW for.
The same as if I ask to change the PW in my:
/cgi-bin/links/admin/admin.cgi
(The administration panel)!

If you have .htaccess protecting your admin.cgi script and admin directory, then simply delete the .htpasswd file and create a new one.

I believe that may be it.
I did find both files in the admin directory.
(.htaccess and the .htpasswd).
I am sure I can delete the .htpasswd file using FTP, question is how do I create other .htpasswd file afterwords?

Uh...go through the steps you went through when you created the .htpasswd file. Let me guess...you had someone install LINKS for you.

Yes Eliot, you are correct. I had the Links installed and it's running perfect.
I did go to the Telnet page as you suggested, but it's to complicated for me.
I was hopping for easier solution - like using FTP, going to .htaccess file and add or change the password. Or going to .htpasswd file and make some simple adjustment.
I am stuck using Telnet. With my luck I may just screw up the whole site.

Well I did come up with solution until I find some helping hands that can use telnet for 10 minutes and make the PW change.
I just go to my site via FTP and change the .htpasswd name. Anyone who had the previous PW is stuck (I also change the FTP PW). Then when I need to add links I just go back to my site via FTP, change the .htpasswd name back and everything is working again. I know it's a morron approach, but what a hell, It works.
