Is that "<SELECT NAME=~~Cartoons" part just the strange behavior of some old browsers? Or is it someone trying to crack my Links program?

Doesn't look like a crack to me, if it was what would they gain by submitting sites? (appart from annoying you!)

Seems like you have not properly installed a Modification. Check the add.cgi and in particular check the sub send_email routine.

No I have not installed any modifications.

Looking at my database of new listings, I found that most were fine. Only some had the "<select name=~~" stuff in it.

What's your URL? Maybe a look at your HTML source will reveal something...

That kind of code normally mean a missing > at the end of the select tag.

Also, you mean hacking not cracking!
