Netscape Problems
Hello all,

I just installed this links script (2.0)and everything works fine but i'm having a problem with something.

Here's the deal. Everything works fine using IE but with Netscape, that's another story. Someone added a link, and it shows up just fine but the problem is, is that when i click on their link i get a different url than what it's suppose to be.

Example:

Here's their url,
http://www.geocities.com/SunsetStrip/Birdland/9150/

Now when i click on it using Netscape i get:
"Whoops! We can't find your page!"

The web page you are trying to access doesn't exist on Yahoo! GeoCities.
http://www.geocities.com/SunsetStrip/Birdland/9150/pers1.css

Where is that "pers1.css" coming from??

Thanks in advance if anyone can help me!
Terry

The url for the link page is http://www.rob-zombie.net/links/

pers1.css is missing from the linked to site - it's not your fault - it's the webmaster of the other site.

However, there is one problem with your site...

I just tried the link and, without style sheets turned on in my Netscape, the problem did not occur. With style sheets turned on, it did.

I would suspect something may be wrong in your links.css file. But since I do not use it myself, I can't say where.

Yeah, my server went down. That's why you got that error.

I really can't figure out what the problem is but that's the only site it does it to so i'm not going to worry about it.

I think that site doesn't work even if they don't go through my link page so it's probably something wrong with his html or something.

Thanks for everyones help though.

Actually, I also had problems with Netscape, even though IE was working just fine. I kept getting a 404 error saying that Netscape could not find links.css--true on several different machines running different Netscape configurations. I eventually resolved it by removing the style referencs (lines in the header stating: <link rel=stylesheet href="<%css%>" type="text/css" title="style sheet"> ) from
all my .html templates.

Maybe Netscape users could reconfigure so it would work, but I didn't want them to have to go through the hassle.
