I have installed links 2.0 in the past but am trying to
install 2.01 and am having problems.
I'm getting:
Error Message : fatal error: (Maybe you didn't strip carriage returns after a network transfer?)

I have made sure all files are ASII and checked CHMOD settings also path to perl.

But still stuck.

This error msg indicates that you have NOT uploaded your perl files in ASCII. Try uploading them again. If you continue to receive the same error, try another FTP program.

To add to Thomas's post, I might also look at your text editor. I had all kinds of problems with the more advanced ones like Words and AppleWorks. I turned to BBedit, I am sure there other's just as good, since it allows me to change the carriage returns from Mac to Unix. Does windows to Unix too.

Say NO to MS Word or ANY other word processing application (not including TEXT editors) for editing scripts! Use a TEXT EDITOR!
