I am experimenting with formatting using templates, which seems the proper way to go. But some things I can't find like %category, where is the template formatting that?

My guess is there isn't one, and one of those .pl files generates. If so too bad templates weren't carried through all the way?

Just posting to confirm I am right about this before I go looking for the .pl code that does it.

It comes from the sub site_html_print_cat routine in the site_html_templates.pl file.

<%category%> can only be used in the home.html and category.html files.

<%category_name%> can only be used in the category.html file.

To see a list of tags that you can use in your template files, click on the link that goes to a page that lists the tags that you can use in each template file.

I understand where it can be used, but the text that it generates, where does that come from? That's the real question.
