use the search feature above and you will find lots of info on inhits. That way you can get your answers without having to wait.

search for inhits

It is located at http://dbink.hostingcheck.com/incomingmod.shtml

Hi i installed it but now i have 2 problems, searched te forum for answers but did not find the answers to fix my problems
on the url you gave me it says you have to link to: http://path/to/your/cgi-bin/links/inhits.cgi?ID=xxx
well at the end of the document it says save as injump.cgi
so i guess it will be
: http://path/to/your/cgi-bin/links/injump.cgi?ID=xxx
now the first problem
when i go a url : http://path/to/your/cgi-bin/links/inhits.cgi?ID=(with id 6 for example, it givs me an error 404 page.)
i'am sure the id 6 is there
if i do it with an id that not exist it just says no sutch id in database
How can i fix this?

second problem
how can i do it that visitors knows with url (id) they have to linkback to my site?
example : somoene ad's a link on my site
he's get the info your site : bla bla , contact name: bla bla , etc...
and when i validate the url
that he gets he's email linke allways that the url is validated but with a message in it
to link back to us use http://my site/cgi-bin/links/inhits.cgi?ID=he's id number

Hope you understand wath i mean
Sorry for bad english

I haven't installed this mod so I am not familiar with it. But having said that...

Save the file in the same folder as your add.cgi, search.cgi, etc.

Use the name of injump.cgi

The link on the other site sending you the hit should look something like

http://www.gossamer-threads.com/cgi-bin/links/injump.cgi?ID=xxx where xxx is the actual site ID

Replace gossamer-threads.com with your actual site address.

In your templates directory edit the email-add.txt and enter lines similar to these ones

Code:
Please include a link back to ( enter the name of your site here ). Use the following:

http://www.yoursiteURL.com/cgi-bin/links/injump.cgi?ID=<%ID%> ( See answer one above )
At least I think these are the questions you are asking.

If you send the code you are using for both sides, maybe someone will be able to help.
