Upload
I have read through all the threads. There seems to be two efforts going on for an upload feature. One is using the Psupload script and the other is a custom hack. In either case, there is does not appear to be one complete summary of final results for implementing the modification.

Has anybody successfully implemented this? I would like to include a Windows / Unix Multiple File upload capability to Links 2.0.

Where might I find concise instructions to implementing?

Thanks & regards

Well,
I've been trying myself with some succes. I ask the users if they will upload a file in the add.cgi. If they say yes, they'll find a psupload form on the add_succes-page and there I've added a hidden filename made up of the ID.jpg and loaded it up to a doc-directory.
This works well, except that Psupload can't upload files of folders with a space in the name of the folder.
Actually, it does upload, but it results in a 0bytes-file. So, if someone has a better upload-possibility?

Thanks,

Pedro

I am making an upload mod that will allow a file to be uploaded on the success page also.

It is possible to do it straight from the add page but takes a lot of playing around with the code (I'll probably do that at a later date).

Anyway....you can allow/disallow certain file types and file sizes, you can upload one or more files and I'll probably think of more features along the way.

Very nice indeed. Mine is more simple. But the problem remains that it doesn't save files with spaces in the directoryname. When will you're mod be ready?

Hi,

Yeah sorry about that, I've been caught up with loads of things including university exams and having a cable modem installed and paid work that I never got chance to start the upload mod. I just have one more paid job to do today and I will start it this evening.

It will show the upload form on the add_success page and not the add page itself though. Is that ok?

(Edit: Ack sorry, I didn't mean to change the subject - please send me a pm if you need more info or start a new thread (or find an existing upload thread))

I myself have made a very simple version of this based on psupload, but as I mentioned earlier I have problems with the spaces.

Can it help if I send you my try at it? I 've got also other tries, but this was the closest one too succes Smile
