Hello, we have a big database of 145,000 users, and we would like to use links to create a directory of all our current members, we try the scipt but...
We try to upload all the data from our database to links by hand... and we noticed that is going to be an impossible task...
Is there any way to use our existing records and export them into links... our database looks like this right now:

id|http://www.abc.com/|ABC|Description|Category
id|http://www.abc.com/|ABC|Description|Category



We check that there is an upgrade for links 2 to the new version (faster one)...

145,000 links is a bit much for links 2.0, you may want to consider Links SQL version. But you can use the Bulk Upload mod located in the resource center to upload your database.

We know is too much for links 2 regular version but we would like to test the script first and see if is possible to work with links.... and then buy links SQL (there is no demo version to test)

we don't have any problem moving the database is only one file data.txt

but the data is in different order than links database, what we need is to order the data into links format.. with a perl script...

Is there any script out there?
We try to modify the script that you use to convert indexfinger to links but we got a 500 error every time we use it...

The only upgrade script for LINKS is from LINKS 2.0 to LINKS SQL. (And the IndexFinger upgrade script.)

It´s very easy to creat a conversion script.
If you send me an example of your old database, and your links database, I send you the script.. It´s just a few lines..
