Hey.. i kno there have been at least 100 discussions on this already but... is that ADMIN MOD2 by widget still available somewhere to download? As my host wont allow me to password protect my cgi-dir with .htaccess stuff...

For the third time this week, NO, it is NOT available!

the amount of posts you make don't make you a moderator..

i have come in here today to find about 2500 posts from the last time i've been in here.. and i find a few still talk about my mods..

i'm going to end every post regarding my mods with..

WIDGETZ MODS ARE NO LONGER DISTRIBUTED! THEY ARE IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND AND AGAINST THE LISENCE TO DISTRIBUTE WITHOUT WRITTEN CONSENT FROM MYSELF

Yes...maybe it's not only posts numbers that make you a moderator but that has a lot to do with it.

So what would happen to someone who distributed your mods?

LOL.........if you like Eliot then that's up to you...but I have a right to my own opinion.

Try searching the forums for Eliots posts and you may begin to understand.

I don't look for trouble concerning Eliot...in fact I try to keep as far away from him as possible....but sometimes it isn't easy!

I think that some of the people at the forum need to chill out a bit...don't take life so seriously!

I've read many posts since june 2000,
Eliot helps every people in a lot of Gossamer's forums,
and he answers precisely to all messages very quickly!!!

Sometimes he's perhaps tired to reply to a lot of similar questions, then some of his replies could be seemed not always cool, but I really don't think that Eliot is a rude boy !

At the end of the day, this thread and forum are not here to discuss Eliot and his problems so Im not going to speak about it anymore and hopefully he won't either but I can't see it happening.

Just one more post about Eliot.
Sure he can be rude with some posts but he is a great person. He has help out propably hundreds of people including myself. I would just like to use this thread as a thank you to eliot. Paul you've help many people out too and thank you to you also. And can we all just stop the competition on these boards, Paul Wilson and Eliot are fighting over who anwsers the most questions or soething like that which I think is simply pointless.

As a final word from me too....I gladly admit that Eliot has helped many more people than I have but the thing that I didn't like that the way he went about answering posts.

Im sure it is annoying for him to answer the same post over and over but he shouldn't reply to the post if he feels he is repeating himself and should let the person search or let someone else answer the question....this way he wouldn't have to shout.

See what Im saying?

Eliot and I aren't competing (although I will be pleased when I become a veteran Smile).

Anyway...no hard feelings to anyone including Eliot...I hate arguing.

I hope Eliot feels the same way.

Your telling me Frown. Right, this is what i have come up with so far. The problem is that when ever i submit the form (correct or incorrect password) i am sent back to the login page. The aim of this script is to replace main_admin_login_subroutine with the admin.cgi's current content, but i'm trying to get this to work first!!! Any ideas?

I can't work out why this won't work. I can't see any typos in it, but maybe there are!!! Everytime i submit the form i get back to the main login routine!!! Any ideas?
