500 error certain searches
I have just uploaded a site using links 2 as a search engine as oposed to a directory. i have hit a very strange problem. the engine seams to work on most words. if you type in "links" as an example it will give you about 200 pages on the results page whereas if you type "internet" it will go to a 500 error page. it works ok for most searches even sex with the most resilts due to high usage of the word but it is only on a few words it goes to a 500 page.

you can see it working at www.qanto.com

any ideas or suggestions very welcome

thanks in advance.

You added the block common words modification, right? Looks like you messed up the codes, compare the codes written in the Mod against what you have in the search.cgi script.

bye...

Standard, yea, right! Wink

Did you upload an out-of-box copy of the search.cgi script??? If not, do that, and see what happens. Wink

And did you change the require line for the links.cfg file?

And did you change the Perl path to your Perl path?

And did you change the permission of the file to 755?
