gofetch 2.2
I've finished with the mod, as well as the install.
I recommend the installer, but there is also an option to get the manual zips. Sorry to create another thread but i figured the other got big and it's for a different version. I've tested the install alot and everything should run smoothly but it does create a back up of the original site_html_templates.pl and links.cfg before it modifies them. You can just go to my mod site, http://lh.links247.net/downloads and decide which type of install or version you want. I will be rewriting gofetch.cgi for the next version. All new using my code. Also, if you do an automated install, a readme.txt and a changes.log will be placed in the gofetchdocs folder under your cgi path folder. If you have any trouble understanding what your path is, you can email me. gofetch@links247.net. Just remember that the cgi path is the root directory or the directory you first go to when you login via ftp. then from there, the rest of the way to the admin folder.

Smile Thanks for a great mod.

However, I cannot execute the gofetch.cgi and dmoz.cgi file because I get the unknown tag prompt: db_dmoz_url

Any ideas?

Many thanks again.

Add this in the globals section of site_html_templates.pl
db_dmoz_url => $db_dmoz_url,

What if I had hacked the .pl files for the previous version of gofetch? Thanks!

Re: [svr] gofetch 2.2 In reply to

I get the following error message:

Unkown Tag: curl

Any fix? Thanks in advance!

Also, there are some indexes for web sites that have links like:

http://webdir.directorydomain.com/Frame.jsp?query=http://www.linktofetch.com/&isFrame=true

Notice the redirector they are using, along with the isFrame=true tag so that the new page of the site still retains a link to the original directory home page. Any clue the script will parse this? Or do I have to first index, and then using vi or text editor like ultraedit clean this stuff?

I get the unknown tag: curl

error when I use dmoz.cgi?add_form=1

Thanks.

Re: [svr] gofetch 2.2 In reply to
did you try to add curl => $curl, t sub addurl or whatever it is in site_html_templates.pl?

Don't understand what you mean

I don't know if the script will parse that. The easiest way would be to try it.

Hi thanks for replying back.

If you check out your site:

http://lh.links247.net/...ersion=gofetch%202.2

The manual instructions do not have any mention of "curl" in the site_html_templates.pl file. Where is that?

Re: [svr] gofetch 2.2 In reply to
Uh, I know what my site says. Usually if I would get an unknown tag, i would think to maybe add it into the template subs. So i asked you if you tried that. Most likely not.

Re: [Bmxer] gofetch 2.2 In reply to
Yep you are right it's not in my site_html_templates.pl.

What is the code you want me to add? Thx!

Re: [svr] gofetch 2.2 In reply to
Hi do you want me to add it in the sub html_addurl_form subroutine or in the global section in site_html_templates.pl?

Re: [svr] gofetch 2.2 In reply to
Ok the curl error is fixed after I added it to the addurl subroutine.

Now I am getting Unknown Tag: message

After I click on "Spider Web Urls"

Re: [svr] gofetch 2.2 In reply to
Do you have the Enhanced parser for Templates mod made by Alex? If not, get it. It should be in the the resources section. First get that, and follow the instructions and if message shows up as unknown, then i'll take a look at code.

Re: [Bmxer] gofetch 2.2 In reply to
I had the same problem with the curl and message prompt when I installed it by using my hacked links2 files. But when I used a 'untouched' version of links2 then it worked fine.

Re: [IceWater] gofetch 2.2 In reply to
Ok, i don't know whats wrong with that. Someone else said that happened. I'll look into the old links.def and ones that are edited. Were you able to add the fields that you had before back, w/o problem?

Re: [Bmxer] gofetch 2.2 In reply to
Wink No worries at all in relation to my original files because I always back them up before I attempt any modifications.

Thanks for your concern though.

I was a little bored this afternoon....what dya think :)

http://www.wiredon.net/index/fetch.cgi

It isn't finished yet but I thought I'd mention it here as it is to do with "go"ing and "fetch"ing Angelic

...and I thought you may be interested. It isn't available so Im not trying to steal your downloads or anything.

It will go to google, do a search yielding 45,000,000 results and display the output in about 4 secs - smaller searches are much quicker.

Lets keep in on topic yeah?

Re: [boomboom] gofetch 2.2 In reply to
Hi boomboom

I originally had the category link clickable but decided against it for the time being as it requires a lot more parsing on the next page.

I will end up doing it eventually but it was a task and a half to get the basic verison done today and Im tired Angelic
