Looking for a PERL developer...

Looking for a PERL developer...
Hi. First of all, please don't jump down my throat - I've tried the installer list, and the people I emailed either didn't respond or couldn't do this now. I wasn't sure where else to go... sob...sob...

I'm a UK web designer. I know enough PERL to edit code, and follow instructions, but I am in no way proficient.

I need someone reasonably-priced to work on a couple of sites I'm starting. I'll be using an NT server for the foreseeable future. The first is a UK portal using Links2 (possibly SQL in the long-term). I don't have much time, so I need someone to install some existing mods, and to do some more for me. The stuff that needs doing is quite complicated. I contacted Widgetz, but he's not available.

The other site is a gambling 'topsite'. I've tried using an existing script but it didn't work well on NT, and didn't really fit my needs. I'd like a couple of scripts created to my specs for this.

Good English is essential.

Please let me know if you have the skills, and what hourly/job rate you would charge.

Another suggestion is the following:

1) Post requests like this in the Discussion Forum....It is okay to post requests like this in the Discussion Forum, but not really relevant or pertinent to discussions going on in the Customization Forum.

2) Post your request in cgi-resources.com where they actually have a JOB SECTION.

3) Post your request in monster.com.

4) Post your request in the General Discussion Forum in this site.

Best of luck!

eliot.. cgi-resources.com is useless.. i haven't been to that site since 1999.. their job section costs $

monster.com is useless.. everyone there went to college to learn perl and they probably still suck.. they probably don't have a clue what Links is either..

i already told this guy that i can't do it until June 16, and told him to try others here..

Thanks for the ideas guys. I happen to know that ants.com sucks, but I've found a better site at elance.com which I might try. Sorry if I posted this in the wrong place, but my thought was that the customization forum would be a better place to find customizers...

For the future, please remember that this forum is for the discussion of modifications and customization to Links v2.0 and really not for the solicitation of programmers to do it.

Thanks.
