How do I back-up my Links2 directory?
Thanks for a great forum (and a lot of helpful people).

I have Links2 up n'running. However, which files do I need to back up (just in case I have to reinstall the directory).

Do I have to download the whole directory in binary mode; or is it possible to back up the directory in a less time-consuming way?

Thanks for your support =)

I think data directory under admin could be ok. If somebody have other idea please post it.

The better solution is to backup the whole data directory into tar.gz format (which has been discussed as recently as two days ago in this forum). This will keep compressed files of all the needed data files you need.

Then ALWAYS keep local copies of your scripts and other configuration files in your PC (and in an external storage unit like an external CD Rom, Zip Drive, or Jazz Drive)...trust me...you need to do this! My hard drive crashed this past weekend, and I lost ALL my files. (YUCK!)
