Is there a way to replicate what goto.com does for users who wish to pay for a higher position by paying per click?

Funny, I had exactly the same thought as you about a goto.com mod...but it's much more complicated than joker's great mod because if you have advertisers pay for ranking, then you have to have a way for them to change their bid, report on how their bid is doing and it gets pretty messy pretty quickly.
