Deleting Batch Files: File Permissions

Deleting Batch Files: File Permissions
How can I change permissions of files within Links? Particularly, I want to know how to change permissions of the detailed files. I am having problems deleting the files via FTP. Via telnet, I can delete each file individually by overriding the "nobody" user.
I have searched through various forums in this site, but I can't find a good answer. Anyone know how I can change permission of files so that they are world writeable (777)
or world readable (644).

TIA

I figured out how to delete the detailed page files via FTP. It would be nice, however, to find a way to automatically change the permissions of the detailed pages (similar to the FAQ mod regarding changing permissions of the links.db file).

(I know that there is a "Delete All" mod, but it seems to still be under construction.)
