Bokkmarklets and Opera or Netscape 6
Hi!
I'm just testing Opera and Netscape 6 (which Opera is the better one...). But with both of them the Bookmarklet from Resource Center want work.

This are the mods I'm talking about:
http://www.gotzespace.dk/...mod/bookmarklet.html
http://www.gossamer-threads.com/...ust&Number=92658

Both of them are very usefull to me. Has someone solved to bring them to work in Opera or the new Netscape?

Bye

Tiggr,

Hi...The javascript would have to be completely re-written to be accessible in Opera and Netscape 6.0. The best suggestion I have is to read javascript documentatation at http://www.netscape.com for 6.0 and also the Opera web site.

Sorry...may be gotze has confronted this and will release an upgraded version to work with the browsers you've mentioned.

Another suggestion is to make the Mod into an ActiveX plugin, which would work in most browsers.

*sight* I hoped, I could avoid this. I don't like JavaScript very much! But I nothing else will help, I will have a look at this.

This would be very nice! :-)

That is shurly wrong. ActiveX only works on Windows-platforms, and on this only inside IE! ActiveX doesn't work on Linux or Unix, or in Netscape or Opera. Perhabs you want to talk about Java?

Uh...ActiveX works in both Netscape and MIE and Opera I belive as CLIENT-SIDE apps that are downloaded into their browsers.

Now, in terms of serving the application, you are correct, it can only be sent from a Windows based server, yet in terms of plug-ins, it works on other client browsers than MIE, trust me. Tongue

And, no, I was not thinking of client or server side Java.

Good luck with finding a solution!
