"Build All" Error *HELP!*
What's going on here? I received this error after trying to change the look of my Links 2.0 to match my site. I screwed around w/ the HTML files some but I came to realize that it designs if off of the "CSS" file--am I right?

Anyway, is there a way to fix this?

Take care!

You must have at least one link added to links.db in order for Links to build the pages.

And, yes, you are correct. The css file will override, for the most part, your html. You can get around that by deleting all references to $css and $dtd in the scripts.

Hey Bobsie!

Thank you for your advice. I figured it out finally after toying w/ it last night some :-)

So you are saying to delete all the entries in the scripts that have the characters you mentioned above? Do you mind telling me exactly what scripts, or is it all of them? Just the .cgi files? I really don't want to start deleting when I'm not totally positive :-)

If you don't mind shoot me an email to avoid forum clutter unless you deem it's not clutter.

Take care and God bless,

If you are not using templates, you will find the references to both $dtd and $css in site_html.pl in the Globals section. In addition, there are many <$dtd> and <$css> lines in that script.

If you are using templates, the references appear in almost all of the template files as <%css%> and <%dtd%>. Just delete them (including any surrounding < > symbols).

Bobsie,

Thank you for the *quick* reply. I appreciate it :-) They really need to make an FAQ for this stuff, LoL! Anyway, I use Frontpage98 (don't blast me hehe so does Mike Raburn w/ www.stangnet.com) and I would like to modify all the template html files. Basically this is very easy to do w/ Frontpage.

What I'm getting to is that I should do this as you suggested then:

<< If you are using templates, the references appear in almost all of the template files as <%css%> and <%dtd%>. Just delete them (including any surrounding < > symbols). >>

Right?

God bless,
