I was wondering how I could edit the .pm files OR nph-verify.cgi script to only check web addresses (http://) and not mailto:, news:, etc.

It is annoying that I get so many "bad" links when they are just email or newsgroup addresses.

I have looked in the Parallel.pm, DBSQL and Admin_HTML.pl modules, and I can't seem to find the subs I need to edit.

I have also searched the Links SQL FAQ web site and the Links SQL forums, but I can't find any relevant Threads.

If this has been discussed before and fixes have been discussed, please link the Thread where the fixes are provided.

I would really appreciate it.

Just bringing this Thread to the top of the forum...

I have tried everything for adding conditional elsif statements in the _check_link sub in the nph-verify.cgi to adding filter arrays in both in the nph-verify.cgi and Parallel.pm and nothing seems to work.

Any assistance or suggestion for addressing this problem is greatly appreciated.
