Is their a timeframe for the reviews plugin is expected?

I really love the functionality of this review script:

They don't have a demo, but you can see it in action here:

Not to be devil's advocate or anything... Tongue

Awesome!

Can you provide further feature information regarding the reviews integration?

Also, will it be included in the script demo area? I don't own the script yet, but would love to see it in action.

TIA,
ATKOgirl

Alex, I think it would be a good idea (for GT) to push the favorites thing as well (a favorites link and forum thread plugin). I think that idea, which has been going around for ages, could do a lot to improve both programs.

Hi,

It won't be in the demo until 2.1.0 is released. Features include:

- Users can enter reviews which can optionally be admin validated.
- Users can rate helpfulness of reviews like amazon.
- Reviews can be searched on.

Cheers,

Alex

Hi,

I was wondering what the reviews plug in will be like. What features does it have. I have the review mod for link2 by widgetz I think it was, and I have many reviews via that plugin. I understand you can import all the categories and links from links2 but what about the reviews?

Regards

The "mod" written by widgetz (not plugin) would be a bit difficult to import...

You have to do the following:

1) Put the USER info into the USERS table.
2) Edit the review.db file to only include UserID, not Username/Password, and the other "review" fields.
3) You'd also have to edit the database file further to match the structure of the USER REVIEW table.

In other words, yes, it is possible, but you'd have to convert the structure and values in the file to match the USER REVIEW table in the Links SQL database.

Buh Bye!

Did anyone ever figure out how this could be imported or create such an importer?

The only reason I have not upgraded is because I use "widgetz"'s review system.

Hi:

There is a favorites plugin called MyLinks_SQL. You can download it through the plugin manager in Links SQL.

According to the description:
MyLinks_SQL allows your website visitors to track and save their favorite links. The administrator can control the limit of links to be saved as well as the number of links to show per page before spanning starts.

For further info, do search on MyLinks in the forums.
