Using Links for categories under seperate folders

Using Links for categories under seperate folders
I am very interested in using links but have a question. We have a site that has about 5 main categories that will have their own directory structure and links directories based on the top level. Such as Cars would be one that would include parts, mechanics, wheels and another might be landscaping that would have: lawns, plants, sprinklers.

So the question is: Do we need a seperate instance of links running in each main category folder to make this work? or can one copy be used to manage it as if they were seperate yet on the same site?

What would need to be done to make one copy work, if possible?

Thanks for your time.

No...just create subcategories.

Ok thanks. what would the case be in this scenario:

Imagine the sections are very huge and reside on subdomains. What would the soultion be there?

Hi,

Getting the different subdomains to work would be a bit tricky, but could be done if you can control which subdomain maps to which directory. By default Links SQL will build all html pages within a single folder, however you can alter that behavior.

Cheers,

Alex
