If we would have a new user-table the next days it must be a snap for you to add more tables to the mysql linking with the user-table. One for the featured cats for homepage; one for the featured cats for newsletter, one for the featured links.
Then we need a user-central for add/mod/delete the entrees (the routines should still be inside) and a workout to show
featured cats at home (dynamic), send the newsletter only for that cats a user has and make a button named "to favorites" for every link.
Hope to hear you opinion.

Addning tables is not hard. Writing a routine to populate that table is not hard. The problem is that the logic is going to change in the next release, and from a time point of view it doesnt' make sense to put the effort in right now to make the changes.

I know I don't have the time to write it, then rewrite it. This is why I had to make the decision to stop supporting Links 2.0 6 or 7 months ago. I just don't have the time and resources to support two versions of the code.

I'm going to take a little while today and gather up the "wishlist" requests all in one place, and let people comment on them. Thta will be a starting place.

Its clear, that we do all future mods for the next version.
(if it will come this year :-)
It would be a good idea, to place all sugestions together; where? BTW: Could you change the order of ressources, so the newest comes first? This would be very helpful.

I have still the opinion, we should found an exclusive club, with monthly rates to pay Alex or you for some special mods, we do and use together. Cause they would come always in the next version, we have the advantage to have them earlier and save a lot of time working on them.
(Have searched all important things the last days, tested and written a german todo for everything and spend shurely 100 hours for small modifications to improve some things.
I would be happy to give a small fee, let doing this a pro just in minutes.

I'm considering setting up to do Links SQL consulting since I seem to be spending so much of my time on it anyway ;) I have some meetings set up to work on plans for a hosting solution that may help eliminate some problems before they start. Right now I can really only do this in my spare time. I can't put any other time into it.
