Something weird happened tonight and I find that I'm locked out of my Links admin - as in unable to login. Normally the browser remembers the combination. I've tried every user and password combination that I can think of, but no luck. I can get at the cgi-bin and admin via ftp, and I'm wondering is there is a file in the admin area that has the user/password stored in it? (Links ver. 2.2.0)

Hi Rich,

Just delete the .htaccess file in your admin panel. Then goto the admin.cgi -> Setup -> Admin password. There use can set your new admin account.

Deleting the .htaccess file didn't work because admin wanted that file to exist. I had to edit both the .htaccess and .htpasswd files to be blank files. Then I was able to set up the new admin account.
