I moved a bunch of categories awhile ago and now when you go to an old link such as

http://www.mhhe.com/links/59/81/index.html (some people have this marked in their favorites) it gives them the page. I would expect it to give a dead pages since the categories 59 and 81 have been moved and where assigned different category numbers at the time they where moved. The link is now found at: http://www.mhhe.com/...1177/1196/index.html. I looked in my db and there is no category numbered 59 or 81. Can someone explain why this happens?

Nevermind, I need to delete these pages off the server.

Yes - LSQL builds static pages but if you move categories around in the admin the next time you do a build LSQL doesn't delete the old ones it just creates the new/moved ones.

If you move a large number of categories around and you don't want the old ones 'hanging around' - delete all your directory pages through Telnet/SSH and then do a build.
