On my Validate Records I'm having a few minor issues after the upgrade to v2.1

1. The most important: Categories box is shown as textbox (not drop drop) making it impossible to change the categori the submitter chose, before validating..

2. I have a few extra fields.. how do I change the dimentions of the field boxed ?

Hi,

1. This is an option set in Setup->Build Options. Look for db_gen_category_list. This enables/disables the creation of a select list.

2. Goto Database->Links->Properties and click on the column you want to change. Under form_type make sure it says TEXTAREA, and under form_size, you can enter 50x5 to make a textarea box that is 50 characters wide and 5 tall.

thanks Alex, that's clever..
but there is no way to both have the dropdown in the admin section and the other option for submitters ?
