import/export
Hello,

In the Links 1.13, under Table Maintenance, there are Import Data and Export Data. Where are the same functionalities in the new beta 2?

Thanks

In the MySQLMan application that comes with the BETA release.

I tried them there. They don't seem to work. My situation is the mysql server is on another machine, which I have no telnet access. When I tried to import a file, it couldn't open it. When I tried to export a file, it put the file on the mysql server, which I don't have access. :-(

When IMPORTING files, you need to have the directory where the file resides set to 777 (drwxrwxrwx).

For EXPORTING, you need to specify the ABSOLUTE path in your local WEB server where you CAN access the file before the EXPORTING file name.

Hi,

Go to Database->Links->Properties and you'll see Import Data or Export Data. MySQLMan uses mysql's import/export facility which is quicker, but may not be suitable.

Cheers,

Alex
