I tried to install the new version on my windows machine (sambar server). the unarchiveing stopped at the screen saying: We are now going to unarchive the script, please be patient and do not hit stop.

if I run installation under DOS I got the following error:

"Can't use an undefined value as a SCALAR reference at install.cgi line 1423."


line 1434 is this line: sysopen $fh, $$tmp_file, O_CREAT|O_RDWR

What problem may be? Thanks for any clues.

What version of perl are you running? Can you type perl -V and tell me what it says?

my perl version is v5.6.0

Still a little baffled. I've added better error checking so the next version should produce a more useful error message.
