I have a heavy traffic site and my search feature is not functioning. Everything had been running smoothly until our sys admin upgraded our mySQL to 3.23. Now, the search feature does not work. All other features seem to be working. This is the output I get when I try to do a search:

It doesn't load the template file or anything. It just returns the text above.

Hi,

Try going to Search Options and change from Indexed to Regular. If that fixes things, then you need to rebuild your search table.

Hi Alex, Just tried your suggestion and I get the same results. It appears directly related to the mySQL upgrade but they didn't mess with my database.

I have tried everything I can think of and nothing seems to work.

Any other ideas?

You might need your ISP to run the fix program on your database. It's possible that your indexes in the database are corrupt, and it shows up in the searches.

The only other thing you could do/try is dump your whole database, back it up safely, remove your current links table, then reimport your data (re-index and repair) and see if everything works.
