Making Test Builds
I have recently become the new admin for a LinksSQL site. I plan major site design changes, but would prefer to test the changes prior to going live with them. I want to be positive that the following change will accomplish this and leave the current live site alone:

If I change build_root_path from it's current setting = /blahblah/www

to = /blahblah/www/testdir

then all the new pages built with whatever changes I make will be built in /www/testdir correct? They will not overwrite anything in /www (assuming testdir is not currently used, which it's not). Am I missing anything critical?

If you are using a static site, you can use the page.cgi / dynamic stuff to test changes before you make them "live" by rebuilding.
