Amazon Integration
Hi,

I've got a really good domain name in my portfolio and want to start a products review and ratings site.

Here's what I want to do with Links SQL.

Create categories. In the create links section, instead of entering all the info for the product, I just want to enter an Amazon ASIN and it should then pull in all the required info like descripton, images, reviews. At the same time, it should create a thread in the forum for discussing the resource (A simple insert statement).

Any ideas how easy / difficult it would be to do this? Anyone want to put a price tag on this if its not done already?

Regards,
Shri

Hi, I've followed those discussions. I'm a perl novice and would be happier just purchasing a plugin and product which did the above (which the discussions do not come close to).

What I want is to simply put in an ASIN into a field and it should automagically create the reviews and other details by fetching them via webservices.

Hi,

I think you should post your message in Custom Modification Jobs - I'm sure someone will get back to you.

Oh yeah, and I am more than willing to pay someone to do this for me. :)

It shouldn't be too difficult, depending on what you actually mean. What I don't understand is the forum integration you mention. Do you want a Links SQL + GForum solution?

Would prefer a vbulletin integration. The gocart thingy looks good and opens up interesting possibilities.

Anyways, I've created another thread in the custom development forum.
