Adding the Category to hits report

Adding the Category to hits report
I'm currently sending out a hits report using the email function of Links SQL. However if people are under numerous categories they receive an email for each category but there is no way to tell them which category each listing is from.

Is there a way to add Category to the linbks table definition?

It would be best to add a GLOBAL tag that can be inserted
into the Link Owner's update message. The GLOBAL tag should
basically take the LINKID and 'SELECT' the corresponding
CATEGORY by querying the CatLinks table.

I don't know the name of the sub that gets the category name
in v.2.X, I know that it was sub get_category_name in
v.1.X.

I'm not able send to USERS only ALL LINKS.....I receive an error....Therefore I was trying to add the category to each email. Is there an easy way to accomplish this?

I use the following:
Your site, <%Title%>, has generated a total of <%Hits%> hits. You are receiving this email because you are the contact for your FREE listing in http://www.steellinks.com.

Thanks anyway.....I'm not a progammer therefore I do not understand where to enter this global tag. Gossamer Threads currently hosts our site so I'll try contacting them for help.

Global tags have been discussed in this forum before, and
also creating global tags for "category names" in detailed
pages has been discussed quite a few times...basically, you
apply the same logic, but create a global tag that can
be inserted into the "update" text box.

Best of luck finding a solution!
