include_header.html

include_header.html
Hi everyone!

I updated include_header.html with a new design and rebuilt changes. However for some odd reason those changes did not update properly and as a matter of fact, some pages are still calling headers as far back as two design updates. I use static HTML pages and when I look in the dynamic view, the header looks perfect in all categories.

Any suggestions as to how to correct this?

Best Regards....

Have you tried clearing the compiled template from the compiled directory?

Did you edit through the editor or manually?

Hi,

I edited user templates in the browser.

At the risk of sounding like the programming dufus that I am, I must confess to not having a clue what this means<< Have you tried clearing the compiled template from the compiled directory?
>>

Help!

Crazy

Check out admin/templates/default/compiled and look for include_header.compiled - if it exists, remove it and try building again.

Actually ignore that, the parser doesn't create compiled templates for includes.

Hmm is the template definitely updated?

You aren't viewing a cached page?

 I cleared my cache...

Compare these static pages which are incorrect:
http://www.shwing.com/...___Design/index.html

http://www.shwing.com/pages/Sports/index.html

to these dynamic pages which are correct:
http://www.shwing.com/...2Findex.html&d=1

http://www.shwing.com/...2Findex.html&d=1

I only built changed... should I maybe Build All?

Thanks...

That explains it then :)

Do a build all and see what happens.

It took forever to build 70,000 plus links!

What's the maximum capacity of LinksSQL again? (rhetorical)

Anyhow, that worked like a charm, Paul.

I appreciate your help.

The capacity is only limited by your server. Links SQL is just a front end. If you have a super computer as the back-end then you could have a database of a gazillion links.
