Just installed a test site with 3.03 to upgrade from 2.x; with it i cant find a way to build my cats as they are;
while a lot of people link to my site it is needed to hold on the old structure like
/1/12/312/

and not the new one with
/1/
/12/
/312/

any idea how to solve this?

Yes, I'd also realized in 3.0.3 there is NO "foreign chars" anymore. Not sure why.

Yes. But i cant believe that GT has not thought about linking and Google & Co; i really love my pagerank.
Till there is another solution i will use a path for every cat; really hate that. ;-)

There should be a setting that's backwards compatible with the foreign chars setting, but it looks like we screwed it up and didn't implement it properly. I'll see what we can do about it - we might be able to add that functionality with an update.

build_category_format > Advanced > %Full_ID% still produces all catIDs in root.

Unless your Category tree is completely broken, it should be working .
