Search only in certain fileds like Links2?

Search only in certain fileds like Links2?
How do I setup search so that it will search only in certain fields of the Links Table? ie. NOT search the URL field.

Hi,

Goto Database->Links->Properties and modify columns and give them a search weight > 0 to be searchable, and = 0 to not be searchable.

You need to do a re-index after changing this though.

Thank you for replying.

That works fine with a Indexed search. But is there a way to setup search to work the same way with Regular search? ie. search weight doesn't seem to affect regular search.

Index weights should control the regular search as well. Did you try it out and it didn't work?
